(The brief)
A 90-year-old outfitter modernising without losing its archive.
Ninety years of ledgers were sitting in a basement in Marylebone. We had them digitised, drew a typeface from the clerks' hands, and built the identity outward from there — so the modernisation reads as retrieval rather than reinvention. Store graphics and packaging use the archive directly; the e-commerce art direction borrows its restraint.
Concept — The archive as the argument — typography drawn from original ledgers.
